Mission Santa Barbara Rose Garden

By Chris

While we were staying in the Mission Canyon neighborhood, we took some time to visit the Rose Garden at Mission Santa Barbara

Although we've been to the Mission several times, we're not typically in Santa Barbara during the time when many of the roses are in bloom. There were so many varieties, I couldn't begin to capture all of them. These were some of my favorites:

In the Mood and Falling in Love

Wild Blue Yonder

Glowing Peace

Cherry Parfait

  1. Check out the rose garden on Chico State's campus! It's behind the iconic bell tower building. It's not huge, but the number of varieties is pretty cool.

    1. My favorite rose is Angel Face...both for its beautiful lilac color and the incredible fragrance. Gotta love a two-fer.

  3. I agree with Heraclitus (circa 500 BCE): "No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man." True with many (most?) places, situations, relationships, etcetera including rose gardens, as your stunning photos show. <3
